Release note
We removed made-up numbers, testimonials and demo data
A product whose whole point is honest backtests shouldn't have invented numbers on its own pages. We went through the public site and the app looking for anything that wasn't true, and took it out.
Public pages. The sign-in and registration pages carried a testimonial and a row of "trusted by" company names we couldn't back up, plus figures such as "execution latency -37%". They're gone. The example result card on the home page showed hard-coded metrics; it's now marked as an illustrative layout with no numbers in it. Claims about multi-asset trading, 200+ data sources, API access, broker connections and kill switches have been removed, because we don't offer those things. The About page now says what's true: development started in December 2025, Quantis Trade is run by one founder in the UK, and the page lists what works today and what doesn't yet. The methodology page no longer claims that every other backtesting tool fabricates its numbers, and its details now match what the engine actually does.
What we don't do yet. To be plain about it: there is no live trading, no broker connection, no public API, and no futures, crypto, options or intraday data. Paper trading is simulated. Live trading has a waitlist.
Pricing. When plans couldn't be loaded, the pricing page used to fall back to a built-in price list with features that didn't exist. It now says the plans couldn't be loaded.
Watchlist. The watchlist showed three hard-coded stocks with invented figures and headlines, and a "+0.00%" change that never moved. It now shows your own saved watchlists. Symbols you add are saved, sparklines come from a real month of price history (or say "No data"), and a price change is only shown when we actually have one. The sparklines were stuck on "No data" on the live site until a routing fix on 26 September.
Elsewhere in the app. Stock reports showed three invented reports whenever the database had a problem, and generating a report charged tokens for a placeholder. Report generation is now switched off, labelled as not available yet, and nothing is charged. Community posts showed like, fork, view and comment counts that were generated from the post's ID; nothing tracks those, so they're gone. Settings no longer shows notification switches that did nothing or a hard-coded sign-in method and timezone. And the allocator used to fill in a 5% CAGR and a 20% maximum drawdown for saved strategies missing those metrics, then showed the made-up figures as if they were real. Those strategies are now left out, with the reason given.
Update, 29 September 2026: two things above have changed. Paper trading of a saved strategy now follows its backtest exactly (see Paper trading now follows the backtest exactly), and there is now an MCP server that AI assistants can use with a personal API key (see Use Quantis Trade from your AI assistant). There is still no live trading, no broker connection, and no futures, crypto, options or intraday data.
